The Japanese penchant for abbreviating names never ceases to amaze me. Already someone on the J-twitter referred to the group as "LosJack" and I did a double-take. And I learned the other day that Starbucks is shortened to "su-ta-bu" which sounds like "stab". I guess I do get cranky without my coffee...
